JERRY D. GARDNER, M.D.

Jerry Gardner is a physician-scientist with management and research experience at the National Institutes of Health, Saint Louis University Health Science Center and American Home Products. He has trained more than 100 biomedical investigators.

His experience spans new pharmaceutical product development, directing NIH research programs, biomedical science and the federal government (including FDA), and managing large biomedical research programs.

Dr. Gardner has published more than 300 scientific papers in a variety of medical and scientific journals. These have included studies on:

Known internationally as a leading scientific researcher, Dr. Gardner belongs to a number of scientific organizations, serves on editorial boards of many leading scientific journals, and has edited major textbooks. He has served on advisory boards at academic medical centers, including Harvard, Johns Hopkins, UCLA and the University of Pennsylvania, and on the nominating committee for the Nobel Prize in medicine and physiology.

Dr. Gardner graduated from medical school at the University of Pennsylvania where he also did his clinical training. He received his research training at the National Institutes of Health
